James Frank is a scenic nature photographer who has lived near Rocky Mountain National Park for mare than fourteen years. His work has appeared in books and magazines worldwide as well as being used in advertising, calendars and cards. He says he has discovered in photographing the Rockies through the subtle nuances of light on the forests and meadows a wellspring for renewing hopes and dreams. A sensitivity for our environment and an understanding of the chaotic order and interconnectedness of the natural world is displayed in his works. Others have described his photos as “poetic”, “lyrical” and “spiritual”.
James presently owns a stock photo company and is the former owner of a Colorado scenic postcard and book publishing company. Throughout his career, James has managed to combine aesthetic values and a love of nature with a self-direction in the fields of photography and publishing.
His first book, “Rocky Mountain National Park Perspectives” has sold over 13,000 copies. With his photographs and the words of Paul Fernhauber, it offers a refreshing perspective of the Rocky Mountain experience.
James continues to exhibit his limited edition prints and CebaChrome edition prints in fine art galleries throughout Colorado.
